How can you clean your ears effectively and safely ?

The ear : gateway to the outside world

Both day and night our ears capture the sounds that surround us.
They play a fundamental role, both in the perception of the outside world and in our daily communication.

To work well, this high precision tool produces cerumen: a yellow wax that lubricates the ear canal and forms a protective film against bacteria.

We are not equal with respect to the natural production of cerumen : some of us produce very little, others a lot.

Often influenced by outside factors (air and sound pollution, wearing ear phones etc.) the ear produces too much cerumen or cannot eliminate the excess that progressively accumulates in the ear canal.

Excess cerumen can be a source of problems:

Discomfort or even pain in the ear,
Increased risk of developing an ear infection,
In children, a decrease in hearing can lead to problems at school,
In adults or the elderly, it can cause equilibrium problems,
In people who wear hearing aids, it can generate intense high pitched noise responsible for 70% of hearing aid malfunctions,
In the long run, this cerumen accumulates and can cause impactions that require the intervention of a specialized physician to extract them which can be uncomfortable or even painful.
